Company Trip to Shanghai Part 1

In November of 2010, the Marketing Department of http://www.accesschinatravel.com went to Shanghai for the annual CITM Tourism Expo. We learned a lot and had a lot of fun in the process. The expo is a great way for us to meet with old friends, make new friends, and get a chance to explore Shanghai. We spent three days at the expo and two days exploring the city.

Shanghai is an incredible city with a unique heartbeat. Because of its history, it is a great mix of Western and Chinese cultures, making it a fun place for a first stop on any trip of China.

The CITM (China International Travel Mart) Expo is one of our favorites because, although small, it allows us to see what is going on in provinces around China in regards to tourism. The booths are always impressive, and there are always performances of local crafts, music, and entertainment. It is a bit like traveling around China while staying in Shanghai.

After the expo, we were all able to go out and explore Shanghai. Shangguan, the Marketing Manager headed off to an ancient teahouse located in front of the Yuyuan Garden, while Rowena and Jennifer went to Nanjing Road to do a bit of shopping.
